This phone is for the budget users. Tip: it doesn’t look cheap, neither are the features mediocre

Infinix Smart X5010 was released some  weeks ago. It’s unveiling was as silent as Baba Buhari jetting out of the country. (Forgive my sarcasm)

But scratch that – Fans were surprisingly caught off guard as Infinix mobility never made an advert prior to the release.

Just like most of you, I too, was hit by a bolt from the blue to know a new entry Infinix Smartphone had surfaced online.

Infinix smart x5010

Looking at the Infinix Smart  from a distance you’d probably mistake it for the Hot 2. However, the Infinix smart  is build with a blend of premium materials, plastics chasis with curves on the edges.

Check out the Hot S and S2 Pro impeccable design and specs.

What’s more,  you have five vibrant colours at your disposal so that you choose the colour that best fits your style.

The phone holds a 5 inch screen with 720p HD resolution.  The screen size is quite decent and it wouldn’t be a dull moment while consuming media on the device.

Impressively, the Infinix Smart holds two innovative front loudspeaker which is the first of its kind on an Infinix device.

Infinix event went as far to boast about  the speakers saying “Great sound enhanced by superb equipment.”

You be the judge on that.

The X500 Infinix smart has an 8MP rear camera with led flash making it suitable for taking pictures in dark environments.

At 2MP the front camera isn’t an feature I pictured to appear on the device but Infinix mobility had other plans. For me, the 2MP front camera is a turn off.

But if it will make you feel good, there’s a soft flash light that’s supports the front selfie camera.

In the heart of the phone is a MediaTek quad-core chipset which is quite decent if you ask me.

On its sleeve, the phone bags 1GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage which  can be expandable by a MicroSD card for up to 32GB.

In addition, the device comes with the latest Android v.7 (Nougat).

Infinix cut a battery that’s perfect for the size and capacity of the Smart X5010.

Featuring a 3060mAh battery, on an average use you can pull through a whole day with plugging the phone to a power source.

Overall, the battery is amazing and it’s perhaps the selling point of the device and if I’m left to choose,  the battery and price will come on top of the pile.

The price of the Infinix Smart is extremely affordable and I doubt you’d ever find a smartphone that’s so cheap with the same specs.

If you are on a budget and want to buy the right phone, then I’d recommend you to snap up the phone while the price is still young.

For less than N30,000 ($100) don’t think of the cost, just buy the phone and thank me later.
