Tecno Droidpad 7D is one of the best Tecno Tablet Device on the Market. Check out the Full Review

If you are trying hard to tip the scales in order to buy an amazing smartphone but the price of Premium Smartphones are expensive.

Like Davido would say “May the Tecno Droidpad 7D fall on you!”

The Tablet is perhaps the most affordable high-end tablet that may come from Tecno in the second quarter of 2017.

After the success of the Camon Cx and L9 Plus, Tecno added the Droidpad 7D to the pile.

Indeed, it’s a bang for your buck.

Remember the Droidpad 7C?

Now, The DroidPad 7C was the predecessor to the 7D.  Word on the internet is that the Tablet was the best selling tablet in the country last year.

Well, it wouldn’t take much effort for someone to prove that the DroidPad Series is in a league on its own.

To be candid, so that I don’t sound overzealous, the tablet is pitched at N40,000 meaning it’s a mid-entry product. It also means the device comes with a lot of missing features you’d find on premium Tecno phones.

Below you will find the list of pros and Cons.

  • Incredibly Affordable
  • Large display screen at 7.0 inch
  • Great battery storage
  • Features the latest Android 7.0 Nougat

  • Average camera quality
  • Small RAM storage
  • Low battery storage
  • The 16GB inbuilt storage is also a problem as the Operating system that controls the phone takes almost half of that space.

Tecno Droidpad 7d

Featuring a well textured body and a simple design, the Droidpad 7 is well built. What’s more, the back cover makes it easy to get a grip of the tablet with your hands despite its size.

Also, the back cover is built from Kevlar, a sleek material that adds lush to the device.

Furthermore, the back cover is not removable except for the top section that allows you to access the memory card slot and Dual SIM while the battery is sealed .

For a 7-inch display screen, the phone weight feels quite light. The screen size is big but not as big to stop the phone from fitting into your pockets or purse.

Coming to the display resolution, at 600 * 1024 pixels you’d expect to consume media comfortably without losing the quality. However, the pixels is quite dull and I wonder why Tecno didn’t equip the device with a better pixel resolution.

There nothing much to talk about the camera. The rear camera features a 5MP, though I’m yet to test it out. it doesn’t stick out to bare basics. While the front camera is just 2MP.

The camera of the phone is the turn off feature for me, and I think many would agree with me on this one.

So can we move on to the next feature?

The device is powered to action by the Quadcore 1.3GHz MT8321D which helps users to multi-task efficiently without lags.

For the software, Droidpad 7 is the first Tecno Smartphone to debut the latest Android 7.0 (Nougat). Of course, you will be able to enjoy the features of the Nougat like any other android device.

The tablet comes with a Kid zone interface that allows you to set the right apps your kids can get access to, when they are left to play with the device. This is a feature most parents will appreciate as it gives you the liberty to control what your kids see.

With the kid zone, you can even set the time limit you want your kid to use the tablet. The limit can be set between 20 minutes and can reach up to 2 hours.

I had thought the battery will pass the 3000 mAh storage, on the contrary, it is as though Tecno decided otherwise.

Although I expected more, the droipad 7 holds a 3000mAh. Tecno on their part could have done better by equipping it with fast charging feature. But it seems Tecno failed and didn’t deliver on what I expected.
