Tecno Y2 is one of the low entry Tecno smartphone on the market. Released back in 2015, the Y2 is a device that’s specially targeted to consumers on a tight budget.
The apparent low price of this device, sets it as the most affordable smartphone you’ll find.
To be honest, there’s nothing extraordinary about the phone. It has a plastic built which is quite comfortable. However, the durability comes under question after a fall.
It also features a predated Android OS version 4.4 (Kitkat). The best thing about the phone is the Dual Sim functionality and 3G support.
Everything is basic around here. You won’t see me praising any feature on the smartphone cause it’s basic.
For users that don’t have much to spend, and want to go for a device with an average rear camera and 512 MB processor, this is ideal for you.

Design, Display & Camera
Made of mostly plastic, the phone looks decent. Not the type you would love to flash at public places though. The 4.0 Inches screen is just enough to let users watch movies.
The speaker is on the back of the phone. The blazing sound is good for people who’d love to listen to music without an earpiece.
With a resolution of 480*800 pixels, don’t expect as glaring display. Yes, it offers decent viewing, but that’s as far as it goes.
The front camera at 2MP sucks, you’d hardly your selfies. Pictures taken from the front camera adds a blurry effect making pictures dull.
Performance & Software
The phone picks up a dual – core cortex A9 processor which manages a clock speed of 1 GHZ and 512 GB of ROM.
The speed of the phone is normal, but when you open multiple apps get ready series of lagging issues.
Quite decent of this end is the 8GB internal storage. You can use it to store multiple apps and files on your phone.
The battery sports a 1900 mAh. Don’t depend on it to pull you through the day. However, having a power bank as backup would save you a lot of trouble.
