The CBN has approved the use of mobile apps for banks to make transactions easy for customers. This means that you can conduct transactions from your phones & tablets.
Now there’s an app dedicated for the purpose of internet banking. Most banks in Nigeria have started rolling out the internet banking app that will aid cashless transactions.
The good news is, access bank is not left out of this new reform as they have released the Access mobile banking app across all Smartphone types ( iPhone, Android, Java & Blackberry phones)
How To Download the Access Bank Mobile on Your Smartphone
As I’ve said earlier, the access mobile app is now available for Android, iPhone, Java-enables phones, and Blackberry.
For user satisfaction, the mobile banking app comes in two types which I will explain below; the Mobile Banking-Classic and the Mobile Mobile banking premium.

You should know that the application comes in two (2) version.
Mobile Banking Classic
The mobile banking classic is designed to run on Java phones. However, the app comes with limited features, among which allows users to do the following.
Payment of Bills – Pay Electricity Bills, Cable Tv subscription etc
Phone Airtime Recharge – it allows customers to recharge their phone’s airtime.
Balance Inquiry – You can check your account balance and view the latest transactions of debit and credit to your account.
Generate Bank Statement
Transfer funds – ( interbank & Intra-bank transactions)
How to Download the Mobile Banking Classic Application:
To download the App on your smartphone: Go to your phone’s app store and search “ Access Mobile Banking classic” it will come with the verified app. Click to install the app on your smartphone.
While for Java devices, Send “D AM” to 20220. An SMS will be sent directly to your phone with the download link. Click to download.
Mobile Banking Premium
As the name implies “premium” the app is only for high-end devices (Smartphones) and it comes with all the features that were missing on the classic.
Here are the key features of the Premium;
It has a unique feature that allows users to locate the Closest Access branch & ATM machine close to you.
Transfer funds ( inter & intra transfers)
Customers can buy Airline ticket
In addition, you can conduct transactions for as much as N200,000 with a limit of N2 million per day.
How to Download the Access Bank Mobile Premium App;
Use the term “Access Bank Plc” in the search space of your phone’s App Store. Click the verified app that comes up and install on your mobile phone.
How to Get Started With Access Bank Mobile App.
After you install the app on your device. Follow the following steps to activate the app and start internet banking ASAP.
How to get Access Bank Token
Visit the nearest Access bank and request the mobile banking form. The form has a fixed price of N1,500
Fill the form and submit.
An activation code (Token/OTP) will be sent to your phone in order to access the mobile app.
How to Login:
Open the app
Insert your login details
Select the type of transaction among the options. I.e Pay bill, Buy Airtime or Transfer money
Select the amount you want to transfer.
An OTP/ Token will be sent to your phone for the transaction authentication.
Fill in the Code Token/OTP code, and click on the submit button.
You will receive a confirmation upon the completion.
