Display and Features
The Tecno Spark 5 brings with it a 6.6 inches long screen which is nothing short of the phones produced in recent times. Besides the fact that you get bigger and more comfortable buttons to operate on the screen, you also get to entertain more information on your screen.
This means less scrolling for you. Also, when combined with the modest 720 ×1600 LCD screen resolution and a 266 ppi density, you get the best images from the 16M available colours on the screen.
For the design of the phone, Tecno went with its regular standard, quite a simple one, I give them credit for that. The smartphone comes with a dot-in display, taking off the notch for those who prefer not to have it.
There’s camera set-up at the back and a fingerprint sensor close to it, but we’ll talk about that later. There’s nothing at the top, but under the phone, there’s the headphone jack, the charging port, the microphone and the speakers.
This smart device does not come with accelerated fast charging, but it does have a basic quick charging feature that lets it charge faster than the average 5000mAh battery enabled phone.
So you won’t need to do 5 annoying hours of charging to get your battery filled up. The colour options that come with the phone are quite impressive which are Ice Jadeite, Spark Orange, Vacation Blue, Misty Grey. The build of the phone is a Glass front, Plastic back, and a Plastic frame.
The smartphone has dual-camera set-up behind it. Consisting of a 13MP main (AI) camera, along with that comes 3 other cameras that serve as a macro lens, depth sensor and low light sensor for better pictures and portrait mode pictures.
It also has an 8MP selfie Camera which is common with various models of Tecno Spark series smartphones.
Software & Performance
Backed by a chipset of MediaTek Helio A22 (12nm), this phone has one of the medium level performance chipsets there is. Along with its eight 2.0GHz cores (Octa-core, 2.0GHz), this should give users a good enough experience.
For the memory, the smartphone comes with a 2GB RAM and a 32GB internal storage. It also comes with the latest Android 10 (Android Q) and is run by a user friendly HiOS 6.1 user interface for Tecno phones. The smartphone also supports Dual SIM cards and 4G LTE for fast internet access.
The phone comes with a 5000mAh battery and has a relatively moderate charging time. No running out of battery every 30 minutes for you. You can be sure of at least an 18+ hour battery time (not standby).
Looking for a low-budget android device with basic features to give you a comfortable smartphone experience? Tecno Spark 5 might just be your ‘guy’. It has got most of the right properties one could be looking for in an android device.
