Sure, it comes with a new Android OS, aside from that nothing else is an upgrade to its predecessors Specs.

Design, Display & Features

The phone combines the look of the Tecno W3 and W2 making it revamped and a bit classier. In terms of build, there are evident flaws – first off, it’s plastic build and the small sized screen.

The screen is just 4 inches and It looks as though the body crops the screen, thus media consumption won’t be enjoyable on here. in terms of the resolution, it’s basic.

Let’s slide to the next feature – camera

Camera

In fact, this is the major downside of the device. We didn’t think the phone will come with features out of this world considering the price, but the camera disappointed woefully.

With a 2MP with rear flash and front facing camera of 2MP, there’s nothing to talk about here. It’s just okay to take shots of silhouettes but I don’t think it  an capture crisp pictures.

Performance X Software X Battery

The phone ships in with a 7.0 Android Nougat, an upgrade to its predecessors. Yeah, you can thrust your hands in the air for this one.

Next up is the performance – coming with a 1GB of RAM and 1.3GHz processor, the performance is quite fast. However, apps close immediately you open another app which is frustrating for most users.

1800mAh is quite small especially now that batteries even on iPhones are getting bigger and better. For some, the battery is a deal breaker for them but it doesn’t apply to the W1 battery. As it runs few apps in the background, and low pixel resolution the battery has a boost to take users through the day on a charge.

Tecno W1 Price & Specs

The Tecno W1 is available in Tecno stores and smartphone retail stores. The price is on the low-end from N17,000 – N20,000.
